Bio :  Selling and Delivering The “Black Arts” To Business:

As we have seen the common Business and IT landscape has changed significantly and continues to evolve rapidly.  The landscape is ever challenging for niche service providers to be heard within large outsourced environments, especially where the outsourcers are already engaged to provide the services we deliver.  The “Black Arts” services (Capacity Planning, Performance Testing, Performance Tuning/Diagnosis) are those that are clearly of interest to the customer to preserve the “End User” experience in production.  Further complicating the challenge is the need to deliver complex technical services and ensuring that the language used and outcomes delivered are relevant and able to be comprehended by business stakeholders.

Bio: Marty is a highly skilled information technology professional with more than 30 years experience. Marty currently undertakes diverse roles within CPT, primarily as the Global Practice Manager – Technical Services (Capacity Planning, Performance Tuning / Diagnosis and miscellaneous technical services), and frequently the role of Lead Consultant on strategic and/or complex engagements.

Marty’s responsibilities from the practice perspective include building and retaining a broad network of technical resources to assist in the delivery of local and overseas engagements on behalf of CPT.  Additionally Marty’s responsibilities include assisting the other local and overseas Business Managers in the pre-sales and post-sales activities related to the broad range of CPT’s technical services.  Marty is also responsible for formulating the teams to deliver designated engagements and has delivery oversight to ensure the objectives of the engagements are met and that the quality of the engagement deliverables is to a suitable standard.

In a number of diverse roles,Marty has worked across a number of major industry sectors including financial, telecommunications and government (state and federal), both nationally and internationally (Australia – (Vic, NSW, CAN, QLD), U.S.A, Canada, U.K. and Griverbed-technology-inc-logoermany).
